In case you're wondering, they're in no danger from me, though I might stir them up a bit from time to time. After all, as a cat I have a reputation to keep up and mustn't let them think I'm a big softie! It's a wonderful place to stay, with a huge territory to hunt and explore, as well as vast barns, sheds and outhouses to lurk in. I don't have to depend on these for shelter when the weather turns nasty as the door of my house has a cat flap, which is also used by Susie, the Jack Russel terrier. Poor Tinker and Lucy are too big to get through that gap and have to find other ways of getting inside the house. Their barking, which I find ear-splitting, is usually sufficient, though, for them to gain entry.
When the family, Lucy and Susie go for a walk in the adjoining Forest of Ae, I sometimes deign to go with them, though I more often than not prefer to do my own thing. I like to miaow throughout walks, as this causes my human companions to speculate on my reasons for doing so.
